The first child has been the center of your attention his entire life. Introducing a brother or sister into his world may cause some confusion, but there are a few steps to take to help him adapt to his new and important role as a big brother.

Introduce the idea of a new baby. When you (or your wife) begin to show, explain to your toddler that there is a baby growing in your tummy.
