family_baby_carrier_160x215In the land of parenting there is rarely time for anything but the kids. That’s why we asked you to share how you manage to spend time with your significant other. Perhaps you’ll help other parents find clever ways to spend time together and keep the spark alive.

  • It is very hard sometimes but once a month we have a mommy and daddy night out. Once a week we go out to lunch together and every night we spend an hour talking about how our day went.

  • Cooking dinner and share a bottle of wine

  • We make sure to spend at least a few minutes at night when the baby is asleep to catch up with each other. We also try to have dinner together each night.

  • We get time when our four year old and 9 month old are asleep. Often one of the aunts or grandmothers will babysit for us to do dinner and a movie, which is time we really enjoy, it is peaceful, dinner gives us time to talk and the movie gives us time to share something we like and just be together.

  • When the baby is asleep we take time for each other, even if it's just cuddling on the couch

  • I work days and he works nights, so when we have a day off, we don't worry about the laundry or other tasks and just spend time together.

  • Put our kids to bed early

  • We make it a priority to take time and do something alone at least once a month. This may involve hiring a baby-sitter, or could be as simple as a glass of wine and rented movie once the kids go to bed.
