According to Laura Milgram, MD, a pediatric pulmonologist at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, there are steps parents can take to help protect their children from asthma triggers.
The fun of summer continues into fall — but with it comes a new set of health concerns. Although fall is approaching, the sun still produces strong, damaging rays. Protect your baby year-round with the BABYBJÖRN Sun Cover. Created in close collaboration with pediatricians, the mesh ventilated Sun Cover is compatible with BABYBJÖRN Baby Carriers Original, Air, Active and Synergy.
Like all of our products, the Sun Cover is easy to use—simply attach the machine washable Sun Cover by threading the cover’s elastic loop through the clip on the baby carrier’s headrest. Its light textile material and mesh ventilation protects your baby’s sensitive skin from the sun and wind, and features a detachable sun-hood for baby’s head. Rated UPF 40, the Sun Cover meets the globally recognized standard for excellent sun protective clothing. It also allows baby to face inward or outward in the baby carrier.

Whether it's your first-ever separation or you're leaving baby with a daily nanny, entrusting your child to another's care is never easy. Here's what you need to know about choosing a babysitter or daycare that’s right for your family.
Minimize risks of separation anxiety early. In order for you to feel comfortable leaving your baby with a caretaker, allow time for baby to become accustomed to another person. Start this process relatively early, before separation anxiety sets in. Help your baby recognize that when you go away for a while you always come back; this exercise will minimize her distress and your guilt when the big day comes. Begin with short periods of time away, starting at about 15 minutes. Then gradually work up to longer periods.
